Name: Robert Gailman
Nicknames: Robbie
Codename: None
Age: 91
Gender: Male
Appearance: Robbie has scruffy grey hair and brown eyes. He looks like someone in their mid-20s, but if you look very closely at him, you can see his age in his face. He is muscular, but his height (6'6) and clothes make him just look slim. He is usually seen wearing a scruffy brown trench-coat, and his other clothes are also quite scruffy and bland. He wears these things intentionally, so he doesn't stand out from the crowd too much. The reason for the trenchcoat is that it conceals his weapons.
Personality: Robert is always the optimist. His powers didn't emerge until he was in his fifties, but while others would just stay retired, Robbie put his powers to good use. He acts like a young man trapped in an old man's body. He loves children, and spends a good amount of time watching over young mutants, occasionally tutoring them and helping them control their powers. Robert is not against killing people, but would never harm an innocent.
History: As a 91 year old man, Robert has a vast history, which I will not bother talking about. I will, however, mention that he was an only child, his father died in WW1, Robert himself fought in WW2, and his mother died of a heart attack when he was in his thirties. Now to get on to the exciting parts. When he was 50 years old, Robert was stabbed to death. Yup. He was stabbed. A group of youngsters attacked him for no particular reason. And after getting killed, Robert discovered his powers. He spent the next twenty years floating on the Astral Plane, perfecting his powers and crafting himself a newer, fitter body, so he could be young again. When he was done, Robbie returned to the physical world, and after using his powers to become a hero, he was approached by S.H.I.E.L.D.
Robbie then became an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. and remained so until one day ten years ago, when he was murdered by Arman Greythorn, AKA: Morphine. Morphine took on Robbie's appearance, and posed as him for the next few weeks, wreaking havoc in S.H.I.E.L.D. and in various other places. Robbie was blamed for these antics and became a fugitive from the law, moving to England to escape S.H.I.E.L.D.
In England, Robbie had a few run-ins with the Organisation, and soon learnt all about the group and what they do. So he infiltrated the Organisation, and tried to take it down from the inside. But he was soon discovered, and assassinated. Resurrecting himself and thinking up a new plan, Robbie soon located Morphine, the man who took his place in S.H.I.E.L.D. and managed to convince him to infiltrate the Organisation for him. Morphine accepted, but has recently stopped contacting Robbie, seemingly because he no longer wants to destroy the Organisation, he wants to be a part of it. Now Robbie has gone back to tutoring young mutants, but has not abandoned his plan to take down the Organisation.
Powers: Robert has three 'powers', but all of them rely on the same basic power:
Astral Navigation: Robert's body is primarily made up of psychic energy, meaning he can travel through the astral plane by transforming his entire body into astral energy. In the physical world, this makes it seem as though he has turned into dust, although this 'dust' disappears almost instantly. When he wishes to return to the physical world, he can use some of his astral energy to reform his body.
Resurrection/Immortality After his human body is destroyed, Robert can set about making a new one out of astral energy, which takes longer than simply reforming his body. His physical body will 'turn to dust' as soon as he is killed. Thanks to this power, Robert has the ability to live forever, if he wanted to. He can only be killed permanently if his mind is destroyed.
Teleportation By rapidly transporting to the Astral Plane and back again (which can take less than a second) Robert has the ability to 'teleport', by reforming his body in a different location to where he left.
Power related weaknesses: (Be realistic.) When using his powers to reform his body, Robert uses his own energy, so sometimes he simply can't muster the strength to do it. Also, he is extremely vulnerable to psychics. So vulnerable in fact, that someone trying to simply read his mind would cause him extreme pain, and if someone actually attacked him mentally, he'd probably go into a coma, or worse.
Fighting style: His fighting style relies on attacking rapidly by 'teleporting', making it very difficult for enemies to target him, and he usually combines this with his katana, his favorite weapon. He is also skilled with various firearms, thanks to S.H.I.E.L.D.
Weapons: Robert carries an assortment of handguns at all times, along with two long combat knifes. His favorite weapon is his katana, which is made up of astral energy, meaning he can reform it in his hand at any time.
