Position: student
Name: Danaerys Webb
Nicknames: Dany
Codename: Seer
Age: 14
Gender: female
Appearance: Dany’s a short but burly girl with tanned skin who stands a little too close, squares up to people a little to aggressively and frowns at everyone.
Her silver blonde hair has been ruthlessly cut off and is most often spiked up, also sometimes bits of it are dyed unusual shades. Unfortunately, though practical, this hairstyle does little to compliment her face, which is handsome rather than pretty, with a harsh raw boned look to it as well as an aggressive set to her jaw. Even her large violet eyes can’t soften her face, and indeed she prefers it that way.
Dany’s clothing style is part rebellious and part practical, she normally wears jeans and t-shirts that either bear amusing slogans, advertise bands, or have something her father would hate on them. She is hardly ever seen wearing any footwear but the heavy motercycle boots her father really hates.
Personality: Dany’s unpredictable, no one ever knows which way she’s going to jump, she might shrug off a deadly insult but be cut to the quick by an idle comment. On the outside she’s sarcastic, cheeky, and cynical, and on the inside she’s paranoid, unsure, and nervous. She speaks her mind, even if it’s not the wisest thing to do, mostly because she doesn’t know how to do anything else, besides Dany would rather be the person who said something unwise than the person who let herself be everyone’s doormat.
Dany seems easygoing most of the time, mostly because life is sliding by while she’s looking at the past, the future, or just somewhere else. Either that or her nose is buried in a book. When Dany starts paying undue attention to the universe outside her own head it usually spells trouble as she’s probably getting ready to argue, and Dany can keep a fairly good row going by herself. She can also hold a grudge for years; she still mentions that her parents wouldn’t get her rats at every juncture.
Privately she knows herself to be a violent, vicious, and brutal person so she seeks to use reason over force and plays by the rules. Oh and she does certain things just to piss her father off.
History: Dany’s family have old money from her father’s side and her mother is big in the business so it’s no real surprise that she and her older brother had more stuff than they knew what to do with. However it often seemed that their parents had no time for their offspring and since Julian was so much older than her Dany was often left to make her own entertainment.
School came as a culture shock to Dany as other children were rare occurrences in her life, as was focusing on things. However the school unwittingly opened whole new worlds to Dany by teaching her to read. Reading and writing came naturally to her, as if she were remembering rather than learning. Since then she lived in books, which she almost always found preferable to reality.
At home Dany’s father tried to take an interest in his daughter and get her a social life, sending her to many activities he thought suitable for young girls. Dany hated ballet with a passion, disliked playing musical instruments, as well as lacking talent, and despised the drama club her father sent her to. The only suitable activity she was ever interested in was pony clubbing, where she was highly competitive and discovered a natural talent for winning patently stupid events. However she would always resist all her doting father’s attempts to buy her a pony of her own.
Dany got into other clubs at secondary school, and got further into books, and got into a serious permanent mood with her father and began declaring that he was stuck a: in the 1800’s and b: up his own arse.
At thirteen her power began to show, however it was barely noticeable at first since she had always had a talent for finding people and things, and often had feelings of déjà vu. She started noticing odd things a year or so later when she found herself unable to concentrate on anything as every time she picked something up she would start seeing it in other times and places. She also began losing sleep as Foresight and Farsight intruded on her unconscious mind, her grades suffered badly, dropping her from a steady B grade to bottom of every class.
Dany found her life slipping out of her grip and had no way to grasp it back, thankfully relief came around the corner in the form of the summer holiday. Instead of a break however Dany got more school, a certain wheelchair bound old man turned up at her house and talked to her parents for a very long time indeed. Shortly after Dany’s parents told her she was going to summer school. In the Us. Now with a grip on her powers, if not her life Dany is now at Staghorn.
Powers: Dany has the power to psychically ‘see; other times and places this is broadly lumped into three categories: Foresight, Farsight, and Hindsight.
Foresight: The most inaccurate of Dany’s powers, foresight arrives either as premonitions such as déjà vu or mixed with Farsight to create a vision of a possible future. No Foresight will be set more than a few hours in the future unless a major history altering event were to occur. The actual chance of anything Dany sees in the future occurring is 50% at most.
Farsight: The greatest of Dany’s powers, Farsight allows her to lock in on a familiar person or object and observe. This is a true visual power as well as mental and works best with her eyes closed, otherwise the Farsight vision get superimposed over her true sight.
Hindsight: Hindsight can tell Dany the past of an object or a person by touch. This one’s a little odd as the past of people is emotionally laden and first person visual while the past of objects is observed perspective and soundless. Hindsight can be almost forced on Dany if someone she touches has a strong memory of something.
Power related weaknesses: Aside from things mentioned above Dany is sometimes confused as to when and where she actually is.
Fighting style: has a brown belt in karate but tends to lose her temper in combat and improvise.
Pets: none
